Autumnal Musings.

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower" - Albert Camus, French philosopher, author and journalist.
Autumn, the colours, the textures, the light - what's there not to love about this time of the year?

For me, living in Cambridge, I love to see the change in season happening so vividly around me. Perhaps we can take a cue from nature and start to change things in our own environment?

Autumn doesn't feel like an end but rather a beginning. It's a chance to change things up before we hunker down for winter. We do it with our wardrobe so why not our home environment too?

Perhaps it's a lush animal pelt draped over a chair, a cable knit mohair throw on the end of the bed or a deep velvet drape to protect against those long winter nights? Whatever it might be there are plenty of gorgeous offerings of fabrics and colours and textures and designs for the season ahead.

We've harvested the greens, whites and blues of summer. The palette now is warm and rich and earthy and I'm loving working with it.
